4 Ways to Become More Zen

Like the majority of most people, one of my goals this year is to become more healthy. My focus is not to lose weight (I wouldn't min if I did though) but to get in shape and develop healthy habits. So, without further ado, here are my 5 ways to be more zen:
1.) I've recently really gotten into doing yoga and I love it! I will typically get up and do a video in my living room and do yoga to start off my day. So far I like the P90X's yoga video more than anything else I've discovered. Their program is very intense, expect to sweat, but it's very much worth it. They also have a stretch video that I like to do the next day, usually because I'm too sore to do the hour and a half long yoga tape again lol.
2.) Use a planner!! I absolutely love using a planner for everything. It helps me be productive way more than I realize, however, you have to make it something you enjoy doing. For example, I color code everything and will put stickers on special occasion dates. You can click here to buy my favorite planner here
3.) Don't forget to have nights where you pamper yourself either. About once a month I will take a bubble bath and use my stress relief bath salts from Bath and Body Works. I cannot rave enough about how amazing these bath salts smell! It's a strong spearmint and eucalyptus scent. The eucalyptus is a stimulant and helps to relieve exhaustion and lift your spirits. I also like to do a minty face mask to help rejuvenate my skin.
4.) Use candles. I love love love candles, I have at least one lit everyday! I don't know what it is about them but they just always put me in such a good and relaxed mood.
I hope these three tips helped and that you will try some, if not all of them out, thank you for reading!

Review: Too Faced

Hello everyone today I am going to do a review on two makeup products by Too Faced. I received their Better Than Sex mascara and their shadow insurance in the travel sizes for Christmas. I can easily say this mascara is hands down the best! I've tried out several different types of mascara from drugstore to higher end mascara, and this tops them all! It has a nice fluffy brush at the end which makes it easy to get all of your lashes covered in one coat. I usually have to do two coats of mascara to get the look I'm going for but with the Better Than Sex I barely even need one coat. It's safe to say I'd rate this mascara a 10 out of 10.

Now, while I do wear eye shadow everyday, it's usually just a light skin color on the lid, brown in the crease, and a highlight for my inner corner and brown  bone. That being said, I have not noticed a difference in the longevity of my eye shadow when I do and when I don't use the primer. The consistency of the primer is very creamy and easy to blend, which I like. Because I can't really tell how good the primer works, I plan on doing a heavier eye look sometime soon and will be using this primer to see if it helps any. Thank you for reading!

New Year new... blog?

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! My name is Allison and for the past few months I've been going back and forth with myself trying to decide to start a blog or not. Thankfully one of my very good friends convinced me to, and I could not be more excited to see where this blog will go! I plan on doing posts centered around beauty and lifestyle things, for example, product reviews and healthy recipes. My goal is to post at least 2-3 times per week, sometimes more. So, to end my first post, I would encourage you to check back often for more posts.
